  • What, amanda can't edit. She needs to find an editor?

    Note From Amanda,

Okay, you guys, I know you want to  hit at me and you want  me to  be this 'useless sex bimbo', but  this isn't the way to go at it.  I CAN INSULT BETTER than that.

Running around saying:  "OH!  Now amanda can't even edit here own magazine, she needs other editors to do it for her...."

Is not the best way to insult me.  That makes you look idiotic, like you have no idea how to set up a magazine properly.

I would't be much of a publisher//editor in Chief if I DID NOT have at least 2 (I aimed for 3) co-editors and proofreaders  working along side  me.  Spell check doesn't always catch grammatical  errors,  the human eye and human fallacy misses spelling errors and content descrepancies. 'Spell check' don't help  for 'incorrect information' either or sentences or paraphrasing that  don't make SENSE.

I can write many  words that are not 'editable' that don't actually make sense and are 'not correct' but are grammatically correct and spelled correctly....

But that is what editors specialized in the topical subject/subject matter are for.

Sure you guys I COULD edit a topical essay on  say 'cyberstalking and copyright laws'.  But that's not my specialized area of knowledge.  I  'could' go to the library and read up on copyright laws and cyberstalking laws for weeks  until I comprehended the  subject matter well enough to  properly edit the essay/article.....OR a person with a law degree could just edit the essay that knows the technical vocabulary and legal jargon well, to know if what they wrote makes sense and the information was legit and correct.

I can look over it at the end and select the articles and essays and WHAT I want in the magazine but you'd be stupid to think you  can edit 'everything' yourself.  FOOLS think that. FOOLS and idiots think they know everything better than everyone else and can solely edit a full magazine  publication on their own.  Do you have a 'god complex'?  Do you think you are  god because you must think that if you think I'm 'incapable' of editing for  lack of being  'able' to  do it on my  'own'. It's not only about grammar, punctuation, sentence structure and spelling.   It's also about accurate information, the actual content of subject and concise and ACCURATE train of thought.

If  some one writes on a subject I have no base knowledge in, I'd  be foolish to try to edit it myself.  How can you edit something that you don't know?

I'm only well read enough in Feminist theory, sociology, business psychology, and art history & culture to edit the essays/articles on those topics.  THAT is why you hire other editors that have a different 'set knowledge' to you and are educated/trained/well read, in other fields and subjects to co-edit and back you up.

I should in fact have THREE not counting me.  Having no one specialized in the pure sciences might bite me in the butt.

But this is  something I'm going to turn into a tutorial.  Listen, I don't  like being wrong either and I don't try to  be wrong but sometimes you are or you get  'mislaid' facts.  Just a few days ago I read http://trunthepaige.xanga.com Paige's latest posting and found a discrepancy I MADE in one of my tutorials on 'gender wage equity'.  I  did some research after I read it and the wage percentile ratio male to female has in fact increased for women in the past 5 years. (The wage gap  has  decreased between the  sexes) She's fairly accurate, now it's an average mean of 85-90 cents to every dollar a male makes (87;100)....

    Not 77 cents.

Now if these weren't just my  fun light  'leters from the editor' advice and turorial blog to off set the  real literary magazine....I would not have PUBLISHED what I had just wrote!  It's  inaccurate and  invalid information.  I wouldn't have published my own writing for it's content.  And now I will go back into it and change it  but that is something great abouyt BLOGGING and  one of the reasons I did this via a blog forum.

Blog forums are interactive and  debatical and  I can get the CRITISIM and cross referencing that I need to put out a good  literary magazine.   If I had just put out a 'call for submissions' on criagslist or asked my  friends I would not have been able to get  that.  Say there debate back and forth and pulling statistics and facts at each other...is good.  You get both sides and coan come to your own deduction.  What would I be as an editor,  news reporter, critic...person if I  could not see the facts or resind when I was incorrect.

  • Nice posting today

Another one of the  spam blogs went down I see.  I added 8 here...now there's ony 4.  The xanga team must  be working on it. Interesting.  I don't need them anymore but  they worked well to kickstart the blog.

I need to  comment more with people don't I?  I've been wanting to, right now your blogs are WAY more interesting than mine

I've been trying to finish off my jewlery line (no affiliation.  Just my own  side venture)  and I've had to  price and  I contemplated etsy also just to  house a few pieces.

So that's what I'me working on tonight. http://msmandyvgv.wordpress.com

I haven't wanted to put price listing until I got a solid  feel for the market.  I've only sold 4 pieces. ( 2  necklaces, a pair of earring and a ring)  and all  in different places so I was playing it by ear and seeing what sold.  You'd be surprised though.  a liberary store is a good place to sell artsy  funky  jewelry.  People are willing to pay $20-40.00 for jewelry when  they go  to the library.

  • Who is most likely to go by their real names and faces online: I.E Blogs

The ratio for women and what women:  Professionals who's careers are writing or  creative writers.  Over 40 years old if for social purpose or  political  writing or actively posting their political opinions or personal beliefs (but very few under 40), And almost no females under 30 unless they are just promoting their business or trying to sell a product, put up a full legal name.

*If under 30 and good looking  (pretty girls)  unless they are specifically promoting a modeling career: Only 10% go by their full names on blogs (facebook yes, to socialize with friends but public bllogging networks where it's interactive, anyone can approach them or write  comments to them and see  their blogs....no)

*If 'not attractive' by our  pop culture standards: More will actually but not much more (the fat girl will be more likely to just go by her real name than the  Katie Perry look alike)  BUT   'ugly'  girls under 30 will also be far more likely to go in complete aliases  with fake pics or a cartoon or funny  pic for their profile.

When I searched this blogging site I added Zurina right away seeing she is a creative writer and in her name....and then I couldn't find another female for months.  I added  2 more in their full legal names, one the infamous 'diva Jyoti'...and they ran her off of Xanga.  They slandered her name and pulled up every shred of info they could find on her and posted it up.   That was what the cyberstalking case was about.  They  searched her legal name and posted up info they found on public records.

She closed her 'diva Jyoti' blog account up and went into  hiding on another account  in friendslock and made it private.  The other one  just promotes herself here http://sarahmasherette-mashups.xanga.com/ and of course the  staff of women  that run 'lovelyish' the girl ezine are in their legal names.  There are a few others here that say where they are from and go by first names or are not afraid to be published in their legal names but do not post them  on here in their xanga blogs.

THIS was the great challenge of me doing this publicity stunt on a blogging network.  Xanga is no different to say wordpress or blogspot, there are a few more on wordpress that go  by their  full legal names, wordpress is more for businesses but still not for socializing.  The females there ALSO go by blogger alias names, especially for political activism.  So the blogging site chosen was a moot point but what that means is I added MORE MALES

so many females are either  in private mode (friendslock) where you can't SEE their blogs in public...or full  aliases.   A female is also 10 times more likely to  have a private blog than a male

And this was  for a public publcity stunt to find  contributors/writers on political news,  feminist theory, political theory and arts and culture.  I had to look for public blogs.

I didn't have much of a choice in the matter.  Males out number females (something like 10 males to every 1 female) online on blogging systems that go  by their full legal names in public blogs.

The ratio of MALES and what sort of males are comfortable showing their real person and real names:

GOOD LOOKING MEN between the ages of 20-40.  Or same as the girls if they are professonals specifically promoting a business. Males tend to be more insecure about their looks than woman online: MORE males may be willing to write blogs in their legal names...but LESS males will post up a genuine pic up of themselves AND  their legal name attached to it if they are not 'hot'. (unless they look like a  hot rocks Paul Adland, they don't tend to  publisize both their real names and what they really look like into cyberspace.)

The legal side of it:  Why I only used the bloggers here that were in legal names AND what they really look like like attached (to PROTECT MYSELF from getting screwed)

I'm sorry, to dissapoint you, I know we all wanted me to be chasing after hot guys over this thing but that is just how our society is and the product of human nature.  It was for legality and my own protection with me being in my legal name in public and this being my business and my writing.  I could only openly on this  blog 'use' people (in tutorials and examples  of  adivce or in stories)  that were already  'viral' in authenticity of their own volition or consented to contribute to the magazine in their name.  That left me with oh:

Diva Jyoti until she went on lockdown

ME (Amanda Cowen,  ergo why I used MYSELF in tutorials)

......And a bunch of hot guys between the ages of 25-35!

I've been getting creamed for a year by the xangan malaysian community within here for using 'Paul Partisan' but look around you, it wasn't exactly a  'choice'.   I actually really  enjoy Agnophilo's blog but I  can't 'use' him in any of the tutorials or paired off with me.   I can't verify who he is to anyone if need be...without exposing him and posting his personal contact info.  What if I had used him and not  Paul Partisan?  I already know people thought  Krist, Him and Jed were all the SAME  guy and got confused as to what blogs they wrote and who was who.  Someone thought Paul was even my former employer Lewis Tipograph.

Without full VERIFIABLE names and persons, I would be screwed right now.  I already know someone is trying to say she is me and the next few postings (sorry xangans, this is for myself.  I'm not trying to insult any of you.  I was never  upset at any  bloggers for getting me confused for someone else)  But this is for me because this person is NOT a xanga blogger and has known me for years and I called her a friend.

I've never not given her her due credit or taken credit for anything of hers or what she has done or used her name.  And now I'm just going to have to 'verify' a few things to her.

  • People that go by their real names online

    Don't try me DC,

That is me Amanda, inside the blog posting writing it.

I'm not  intending on going down for Identity Theft.  Don't sit around and think I would make up sites, blogs, or fake info on people.  This was for a magazine, I knew going in my legal name would confuse many of the bloggers SO I WROTE only on those I knew had their real names up already.

The above pic is the inside of a posting:  My posting that I wrote right now.

I did not make that blog of Krist Caldwell, that is his blog for his private practice.  I would not have written about him again if he had not put up his  contact info up himself.

Same with  Mr. Partisan, I did not write about him at all until someone notified me  that he has his name up attached to his xanga blog.

It is why out of 66 blogs I've only written  'about' a few of them.  And I'm sorry but you need to understand society and understand that it's not out of 'love for men' that I wrote mostly about men in public.  It's because  more  MALES openly go in their full legal names.  And I can only go so far as the law permits me.

I wrote about my ex JED ROBERTSON specifically because his NAME and photos of himself are already in public.

The only female blogger that I added as a follower (friend) here in her real name is:

    • Name: Zurine Cadena
    • Location: Newark, New Jersey, United States
    • Birthday: 10/13/1989
    • Gender: Female

    Visit ZZephyrus's Xanga Site

*Click on profile pic, it will take you to her blog

'Diva Jyoti' when  I first met her and added her (she was also once an  actual follower/friend add here) had her first name and an authentic pic of herself and openly discussed her age and her life.  But females tend to keep there blogs either private (friendslock) or go under full  aliases and those  are the people I can't at all write about or tell you who they are.

It's not because I  'want men' you idiots, it's because of this reason exactly that I'm dealing with  now.  You PLAY GAMES WITH 'PRETTY'  WOMEN  inside your own heads because you want to see them  as  dumb and only their to  date or  'fuck'.   And if I had written about bloggers I could not verify who they  were, I'd be f-ed.  As I could possible put them in danger, if  you took  it out of context.  I'd be  screwed now wouldn't I be haha!

I'm not exposing anyone.  These are the people that openly run around this world in their names.  As I do.  Right now what I am seeing and hearing about is that you want to incarcerate me for writing about  dating, love and sex and are trying the darndest to make it look like I'm dating everyone and trying to  have sex with all of you ...through  these 'imaginary' blog 'personas' I wrote about here.

'Alrighty' DC,  that MIGHT be the case if those were people under aliases but me writing about Paul Adland who GOES by the  blogger name 'Paul Partisan' HERE does not make him you.

"But  now Amanda's soliciting me, in her Paul partisan persona"? ( rumor I heard about  myself)

No.  That's just some guy named Paul Adland honeys.   "Why is Amanda exposing everyone"? (another rumor about they pretend  about me)

I'M NOT EXPOSING PEOPLE.  The only people I name....are in their real names and person to begin with.  Someone even said I was going to "expose him for being the 'real' paul partisan".

What demension do you live on?  That's AN ACTUAL PERSON.   PAUL ADLAND IS AN ACTUAL PERSON.

"But in reality I AM paul partisan!"

NO SWEETIE IN-REALITY-PAUL ADLAND-IS-PAUL PARTISAN!  You are the one imagining you are someone else, not him or I.

    "Now I'm Ron.......?"

NO LITTLE CHILD'S BRAIN, no, adult person with the  mentality of an 8 year old, my father's NAME IS Ronald Cowen.  that's his NAME, if you want to pretend to be my  dad, just call me and I'll give you some of his clothes and you can dress up in his clothes and pretend to be him but that still doesn't make you him.

What are you people, on an acid trip.  I'm just writing names of different people, I'm just  reporting on different people.

  • Donde esta?

    Let me explain  another thing,

Again this is to people in DC not Xangans.  This is not a fairytale, I am not  a character in a wild fairytale, I'm being creative for this promo because it is idealogy but this has absolutely nothing to do with my personal life other than my autobiography whenre I told you about my  PAST.

Babes, I didn't run away with the  blogger 'reckless-eagle'.

I have no idea where you got the idea I was even interested  in him romantically, even from what I wrote on this blog.  He's a nice kid  and he's a cutie, I was sorry to see him leave (he is no longer on of my blog followers) ergo why I had to delete him OUT of the postings.  But if you had followed the comments and my postings when it was happening, you would know.....

    He lives in AMERICA.

That was our common ground; that we are both Asians that were not born here but are American.  I actually think he lives in New York, although we never discussed which state he lived in.  But he did land a few comments here (that I had to delete) about how his FAMILY IMMIGRATED to the USA when he was a kid.

He's not living in Malaysia to my knowledge, at least as a resident.  In fact he's not even full asian, he's half hispanic. (one parent is  hispanic the other one is oriental)  I'm guessing  his link to Southeast Asia is  his heritage and family ties or from when he was a  small child.  He's making his NAME in Southeast Asia (I'm sure he speaks a few languages, I know he speaks Spanish and english and  probably malay or Thai) but if you actually look at his blog he posts on American news.

Okay?  That's pretty normal for someone brought up international.

He's to my knowledge a cute guy in his mid-20s, that's in the field of PR that host  an online show, where he travels around the world  showing  new  technological discoveries.

Like I don't know what else to tell you.  He's a sorta cheesy prettyboy in his 20s that likes to work out a lot and has an interest in technology.  I'm sorry I exist and  added  a cute 25ish guy onto this  blog for a magazine for 20 year olds and teens.  I'm sorry, I thought a cute muscular young man that host a technology show with a brainy side would be a good idea to  add as a follower/supporter/contributor for  a careers center and  feminist magazine for young girls.

I don't know what I was thinking, where was my head.  Why would I do that when you have obviously already decided that I'm just here to get a date or  sleep with the men here...when I am but dating all of them off this.  And  he's  only 25 and I am 33!  Who do I think I am, I'll go to  hell now for hitting on a 25 year old  through my blog that you have confirmed  in your heads is just really me  trying to get a date and a dating site for me.

I'm so unbelievebly sorry.  I'm sorry I wrote about my  ex-boyfriend from 10 years ago if all you were going to think  is that I was dating him  now and he is a xanga blogger I 'picked up' here......I'm sorry, I wrote an adivce posting on: "being friends with your exes" and Matt Trurner if all you were going to do is think  he was one of the  xanga bloggers here that used to date.....

    I'm sorry.

    -Amanda
