The ratio for women and what women: Professionals who's careers are writing or creative writers. Over 40 years old if for social purpose or political writing or actively posting their political opinions or personal beliefs (but very few under 40), And almost no females under 30 unless they are just promoting their business or trying to sell a product, put up a full legal name.
*If under 30 and good looking (pretty girls) unless they are specifically promoting a modeling career: Only 10% go by their full names on blogs (facebook yes, to socialize with friends but public bllogging networks where it's interactive, anyone can approach them or write comments to them and see their blogs....no)
*If 'not attractive' by our pop culture standards: More will actually but not much more (the fat girl will be more likely to just go by her real name than the Katie Perry look alike) BUT 'ugly' girls under 30 will also be far more likely to go in complete aliases with fake pics or a cartoon or funny pic for their profile.
When I searched this blogging site I added Zurina right away seeing she is a creative writer and in her name....and then I couldn't find another female for months. I added 2 more in their full legal names, one the infamous 'diva Jyoti'...and they ran her off of Xanga. They slandered her name and pulled up every shred of info they could find on her and posted it up. That was what the cyberstalking case was about. They searched her legal name and posted up info they found on public records.
She closed her 'diva Jyoti' blog account up and went into hiding on another account in friendslock and made it private. The other one just promotes herself here http://sarahmasherette-mashups.xanga.com/ and of course the staff of women that run 'lovelyish' the girl ezine are in their legal names. There are a few others here that say where they are from and go by first names or are not afraid to be published in their legal names but do not post them on here in their xanga blogs.
THIS was the great challenge of me doing this publicity stunt on a blogging network. Xanga is no different to say wordpress or blogspot, there are a few more on wordpress that go by their full legal names, wordpress is more for businesses but still not for socializing. The females there ALSO go by blogger alias names, especially for political activism. So the blogging site chosen was a moot point but what that means is I added MORE MALES
so many females are either in private mode (friendslock) where you can't SEE their blogs in public...or full aliases. A female is also 10 times more likely to have a private blog than a male
And this was for a public publcity stunt to find contributors/writers on political news, feminist theory, political theory and arts and culture. I had to look for public blogs.
I didn't have much of a choice in the matter. Males out number females (something like 10 males to every 1 female) online on blogging systems that go by their full legal names in public blogs.
The ratio of MALES and what sort of males are comfortable showing their real person and real names:
GOOD LOOKING MEN between the ages of 20-40. Or same as the girls if they are professonals specifically promoting a business. Males tend to be more insecure about their looks than woman online: MORE males may be willing to write blogs in their legal names...but LESS males will post up a genuine pic up of themselves AND their legal name attached to it if they are not 'hot'. (unless they look like a hot rocks Paul Adland, they don't tend to publisize both their real names and what they really look like into cyberspace.)
The legal side of it: Why I only used the bloggers here that were in legal names AND what they really look like like attached (to PROTECT MYSELF from getting screwed)
I'm sorry, to dissapoint you, I know we all wanted me to be chasing after hot guys over this thing but that is just how our society is and the product of human nature. It was for legality and my own protection with me being in my legal name in public and this being my business and my writing. I could only openly on this blog 'use' people (in tutorials and examples of adivce or in stories) that were already 'viral' in authenticity of their own volition or consented to contribute to the magazine in their name. That left me with oh:
Diva Jyoti until she went on lockdown
ME (Amanda Cowen, ergo why I used MYSELF in tutorials)
......And a bunch of hot guys between the ages of 25-35!
I've been getting creamed for a year by the xangan malaysian community within here for using 'Paul Partisan' but look around you, it wasn't exactly a 'choice'. I actually really enjoy Agnophilo's blog but I can't 'use' him in any of the tutorials or paired off with me. I can't verify who he is to anyone if need be...without exposing him and posting his personal contact info. What if I had used him and not Paul Partisan? I already know people thought Krist, Him and Jed were all the SAME guy and got confused as to what blogs they wrote and who was who. Someone thought Paul was even my former employer Lewis Tipograph.
Without full VERIFIABLE names and persons, I would be screwed right now. I already know someone is trying to say she is me and the next few postings (sorry xangans, this is for myself. I'm not trying to insult any of you. I was never upset at any bloggers for getting me confused for someone else) But this is for me because this person is NOT a xanga blogger and has known me for years and I called her a friend.
I've never not given her her due credit or taken credit for anything of hers or what she has done or used her name. And now I'm just going to have to 'verify' a few things to her.
